Chevalier opticien Paris. binoculars. Origin of the company ?

I recntly purchased a pair of Chevalier opticien Paris Binoculars. I am finding it very hard to get any information of the company itself . Can anyone give me some help with find out about them. I need to know about when they started and when they closed and anything else you can tell me.

you might want to search out Charles_and_Vincent_Chevalier on the internet….to the best of my knowledge they were the first to make a workable camera and this moved them into the optics field plus the company is still operating today.
